St Lucia & St Vincent
Building on our very popular trip to St Lucia, we will include nearby St Vincent for this enjoyable introduction to Caribbean birding. With many endemic birds and Antillean specialities, this tour offers both thrilling and relaxing birding. This departure is now moved from January 2021 to 5 January – 16 January 2024.
PRICE UPDATE - The Atlantic Rainforest in South East Brazil is arguably is one of the planet’s richest places for bird diversity and should be on most birders' ‘to-do' list. The remnant protected areas, on which we focus, are home to over 900 bird species, of which 140 are endemic and another 105 near endemic, and most of these are threatened. We hope to see 350+ species on this exciting tour! Our NEW! Brazil - Atlantic rainforest tour will now next run in June 2022 and we have prices confirmed.
Extra date now available in 2022! Estonia Short Break in Early Spring. This tour was scheduled to next run in 2023 but due to popular demand we have added a new departure for 2022. Join us 28 March – 2 April 2022 for seabirds including Steller's Eider and key woodland species.
India – Birds, Tigers and the Taj Mahal now scheduled for 27 February – 9 March 2023, 4 March -14 March 2024 and 3 March -13 March 2025.

Our Poland tour due to run in 2022 and 2024 has been rescheduled, and will now run 21May – 28 May 2023 and 18 May – 25 May 2025.
Our original Spain – Picos de Europa Mountains holiday has moved from 2022 and will now run 7 September – 14 September 2024. We are running a new departure Picos Mountains and Meseta Plains in 2022 – read more by clicking the link!
NEW! - Madeira due to run in 2022 and 2024 has been rescheduled and will now run 20 May -27 May 2023 and 17 May -24 May 2025. Join us as we search for endemic sea-birds and passerines.
China holds some enviable bird groups, including cranes, babblers and pheasants, with many endemics, and exotic and unusual new birds will abound. Our next China – Sichuan & Beijing departure will now run 26 April – 16 May 2023. We also intend to visit in 2024 and 2025 so register your interest now with no deposit required.
NEW! China - Qinghai province and the Tibetan Plateau originally scheduled for June 2022 has been moved, and will now run 8 June – 25 June 2024.
NEW for 2022 program! Due to travel restrictions in 2021 we are now pleased to announce Uzbekistan & Kyrgyzstan in 2022. Provisional dates are 9 June - 23 June 2022.
NEW! Faroe Islands moved from 2022. This tour will now run 17 July - 24 July 2023.
Iceland Birds, Orcas and Borealis- we are pleased to announce we have added this tour to our 2022 program, and it is due to run 24 February -27 February 2022. This departure is also scheduled for 2023 and 2025.
Lesvos is a classic destination, one of those 'must do' places reaching a wonderful peak during spring migration. Find speciality birds with us including Kruper’s Nuthatch, Cretzschmar’s Bunting and Cinereous Bunting, and enjoy wonderful migration all around this beautiful island. We visit here next 22 April – 29 April 2023.
British Columbia will now run 19 August – 3 September 2023 and again in 2025.

Central America's most diverse birding nation, Guatemala is home to over 760 bird species and Heatherlea are visiting this amazing destination 29 January – 16 February 2023. With spaces already filling please get in touch to reserve your space.
Costa Rica is one of our favourite destinations and in 2023 we are offering a BRAND NEW itinerary: Costa Rica Wildlife and Wellness. The wildlife itinerary is less intensive than our other tours, and we have taken time to include whale-watching in the Pacific for the first time, and also baby Green Turtle hatchlings in the Caribbean, as we make the best of our time in this wonderful small country. Now running September 2023.

Southern Peru - Birding and Machu Picchu for 2021 has been rescheduled for 15 October – 30 October 2022.
Brazil - The Pantanal is no longer running in 2021 has been rescheduled for 2 July – 14 July 2022.
Due to rescheduling our Kenya - Birding the Rift Valley holiday has been moved from 2022 to 29 January – 7 February 2023.
Our Kenya - Masai Mara Short Break will now next feature on our 2022 schedule with dates listed as 2 - 8 November 2022.
A wonderful East African safari, combining top birding with big game, Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees, we will now re-visit Uganda, 12 February – 24 February 2024.
A new and different birding destination, the tropical islands of The Seychelles! Our standard Nepal holiday is being rested in 2022 and will now run 9 March – 22 March 2023. This is to make way for our NEW! Birds & Mammals of West Nepal, 11 March – 25 March 2022. This new three-centre holiday highlights the vast wealth of birdlife to be found in the grasslands, ancient forests and foothills of the Himalayas, as we visit three distinct geographical areas within this wonderful, friendly country. Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons – one of our favourite American destinations and summer is a time of abundance here. Gray Wolf, Black and Grizzly Bear, American Bison at the rut (we are here at the peak time), Coyote, Pronghorn Antelope, Bighorn Sheep, Elk, Moose, Mule Deer, White-tailed Deer, River Otter, American (Pine) Marten, American Beaver, and don't forget the wonderful birdlife – no wonder Yellowstone has been compared to a safari in Africa! Now scheduled to next run 22 July – 3 August 2023.
At the edge of the Western Palearctic, the Sultanate of Oman is situated between Europe, Africa and Asia. It has spectacular and varied scenery including sandy beaches, lagoons, mudflats, agricultural fields, sand dunes, stony desert and mountains and this diversity is reflected in the very special birds likely to be seen. Our new Oman holiday will now run 6 January – 20 January 2023.
NEW for 2022 program! Due to travel restrictions in 2021 we are pleased to announce we will be running our South East China tour in 2022. Arguably the world’s most desirable wader, Spoon-billed Sandpiper is one of the most endangered birds in the world, but populations may now have stabilised due to intensive conservation action across many countries. This tour has been designed with Spoon-billed Sandpiper as our principle target, and away from the breeding grounds, perhaps the best place to see this bird is in China on migration between mid-August and mid-October. Dates are provisionally 9 September – 19 September 2022.
