Gabor Orban 

Gabor is Heatherlea's specialist bird guide for Mexico and Belize, having led birding tours in the Central Americas since 2016.

Gabor participated in his first birding camp during the 70's as a young boy at Lake Kondor and fell in love with birding instantly. Later he became a ringer and broadened his interest in zoology, especially mammals and butterflies. During the 80's and 90's he lead several tours first in Hungary, later in other East European countries and Western Europe as well. He lived and worked for years in the US at such different states like New Mexico & New Hampshire; cris-crossed the continent several times. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge of nature and culture with his groups and we look forward to working with again in 2024!
